About Me:

My name is Hannah Gracy, I'm a Health Science student at the University of Florida.

After graduating as valedictorian of my high school class in 2017, I began my undergraduate studies at UF. It was here that I developed an interest in the medical field through clinical observation and volunteering.

I've been given the opportunity to combine my love for human health and conservation by working as an undergraduate research assistant in the department of Human and Environmental Toxicology. I'm currently assisting on a project that studies the effects of estrogenic compounds in sunscreens on Daphnia magna !

During the summer 2019 semester, I went on a study abroad program in Madagascar. For four weeks I traveled around the country learning about it's culture and biodiversity. I was also given the opportunity to shadow at the Vezo Hospital in Andavadoaka. Here I developed an interest in international health disparities, which I hope to learn more about as I progress through my medical career.

When I'm not at the Vulpe Lab or in lecture, I enjoy traveling, gardening, eating copious amounts of Italian food, and spending all of my money at Regal Cinemas.
